Originally released in 1995, Panzerfaust saw Darkthrone declaring themselves 'the most hated band in the world' and featuring lyrical contributions by one Count Grishnackh, a move which certainly offended some.
Musically the record follows on neatly from the raw black metal of Transilvanian Hunger, not surprising since Fenriz wrote the entirety of both albums. On this record he also handled all instruments, with Nocturno Culto the only other contributor, handling vocals. A cold and uncompromising slice of 90s Norwegian black metal.
